In Lebanon, Marilyne Naaman first became a familiar face on television before making her mark on the music stage. An award-winning actress and star of some of the Arab world's most successful television series, she has only recently embarked on a recording career, quickly establishing herself as one of the most promising new voices in Arabic pop music. Her concert at Dubai Opera on 6 October marks another milestone in this rapid artistic rise. Originally trained as an actress, Naaman built her reputation through film and television before choosing to pursue music alongside her acting career. A turning point came in 2023 with her appearance on The Voice France, which introduced her to a wider international audience and showcased a voice that moves effortlessly between Arabic musical traditions and contemporary pop. Since then, she has released songs including Nachez, 5 Minutes and Lech Ma Bterjaa?, developing a musical identity that combines emotional intensity with melodic songwriting. Music has remained closely connected to her work as an actress. In 2024 she performed songs for the soundtrack of the television series Aa Amal, while the following year Ana Min, the theme song for the series Bil Dam, became one of the most widely streamed tracks across the MENA region, further expanding her audience. At Dubai Opera, Marilyne Naaman will perform a repertoire reflecting this artistic journey, combining her best-known songs with a selection of pieces that highlight the versatility of her voice. The concert confirms the growing international profile of a new generation of Arab artists who are engaging with contemporary pop while remaining deeply rooted in their own musical traditions.
