The world’s most renowned wildlife photography competition returns with its 61st edition. Wildlife Photographer of the Year will open at London’s Natural History Museum on 17 October 2025 before traveling to Milan, where it will be hosted at the Museo della Permanente. On display will be 100 finalist images, selected from over 60.000 entries from across the globe and judged by an international panel for creativity, originality, and technical excellence. Among the highlights: a dramatic clash between a lion and a cobra captured by Gabriella Comi, a striking portrait of a pack of Arctic wolves by Amit Eshel, and remarkable visions by young photographers, some as young as nine. Beyond the sheer visual impact, visitors will also be able to explore the Biodiversity Intactness Index, an innovative tool that measures the state of global biodiversity, making the exhibition a true bridge between art and science. In Milan, the experience will be further enhanced by large-format backlit projections and talks with experts, reinforcing the city’s role as a hub for nature and visual culture.
