Impossible architectures poised between perfection and uninhabitability
#Exhibitions

The Gazometer of Rome, the Brion Memorial in Altivole, the semi-submerged bell tower of Curon, the Cretto of Gibellina. These are some of the impossible, or even better "uninhabitable" architectures that are at the center of an exhibition at the Centrale Montemartini in Rome. Unique and unrepeatable buildings, perfect balance of forms as well as impossible places to live in, these absurd, beautiful architectures where man cannot imagine making his own home are the representation itself, the most idealized and theoretical one, expressed by architecture in its maximum abstraction. Over 150 images taken by great Italian and international photographers such as Gianni Berengo Gardin, Guido Guidi, Marzia Migliora, Gianni Leone, Mark Power, Sekiya Masaaki, Steve McCurry accompany the public in this story which is completed by the original shots - from which the cover of the exhibition catalog is taken - created by Francesco Jodice and Silvia Camporesi.
