Amid zoological displays and monumental bones, a group exhibition reimagines the still life tradition: no longer a formal exercise, but a lens onto the planet’s fragility. Conceived for the Museum of Zoology, the project sparks a dialogue between artistic languages and scientific observation, revealing specimens as stories of loss, care, and transformation. Along the museum’s permanent galleries, artworks slip into cases of birds, insects and shells. The vitrines, instead of preserving only natural traces, open to site-specific interventions that unsettle their order, posing questions and creating poetic and critical connections. Ecology, cultural identity and the ethics of care merge into a hybrid landscape. In the Whale Hall, the colossal skeleton becomes a silent protagonist: surrounded by installations, paintings and sculptures, it deepens the conversation between biological memory and contemporary imagination. Gathering more than forty works, the exhibition forms a chorus of diverse voices that challenges the neutrality of the museum and urges us to rethink our bond with the living world - and with what may soon disappear.
