A gust of voices lifts you up before the first snare hit: when Marquinn Middleton raises his hands, gospel turns into electric current. Founded on 11/11/2011, Marquinn Middleton & the Miracle Chorale is more than an ensemble: it’s a sonic community working to turn air into hope. Their national debut came with Verizon’s How Sweet The Sound (2012-2013), where the choir stood out for energy and precision, earning praise from Erica Campbell, Hezekiah Walker, Fred Hammond, CeCe Winans, and Donald Lawrence. Then came a streak of honors between 2013 and 2020: from Most Inspiring Artist and Best New Project/CD to six Artist of the Year titles at the Texas Gospel Music of Excellence Awards, awards for choral direction, best performance, and the Community Choir of the Year seal from KHVN Heaven 97. Milestones like Hezekiah Walker’s Choirfest broadened their vision and collaborations. Today, with 30 members - voices and rhythm section - the group keeps building stages like secular altars: sacred music, yes, but also civic practice, able to ignite new generations with the contagious power of collective song.
