At Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo, artist Akiko Nakayama presents a special video installation inside the hotel’s elevators. Known for her Alive Painting technique, combining water, mineral pigments, and sound vibrations to create constantly evolving visuals, Nakayama transforms the elevator into a dynamic, sky-inspired art space.
The elevators becomes a “suspended museum,” offering four video pieces themed around the sky:
Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo invites guests to look upward in the elevator and immerse themselves in the flowing colors and expressions of the ever-changing sky.
This installation forms part of a broader artistic dialogue, echoing the spirit of the exhibition “Bvlgari Kaleidos: Colors, Cultures, and Crafts” currently on view at the National Art Center, Tokyo (NACT)
