The art of Australia’s First Nations peoples has received widespread international attention in recent years as part of a broader contemporary art world interest in rediscovering forms of cultural expression rooted in regional and local contexts. The Ishibashi Foundation has devoted great care to discovering and collecting Australian Aboriginal art over the past twenty years. In this exhibition, the focus is on the art of Aboriginal women through the work of seven artists and a collective, with the aim of offering audiences a deeper understanding and awareness of Australian First Nations art.
