Bubble Land, Naeemeh Kazemi’s recent series, inaugurates a visual space that submerges the viewer in a surreal aquatic scenario, full of symbols and contrasts. Through visually striking oil paintings, the artist transforms the depths of the sea into a dreamlike stage: bubbles that float like confetti, bioluminescent creatures next to clownish figures that recall Ensor’s masks or Picasso’s harlequins, oscillating between the grotesque and the sublime. Bubble Land represents an evolution for Naeemeh Kazemi: from an introspection suspended in imaginary spaces to an extroverted confrontation with the paradoxes of modern living. Kazemi’s technical mastery translates into chiseled brushstrokes that mix realism and dreamlike distortion. Bubble Land is a surreal fable, an underwater theater where beauty merges with uncertainty.
