Two dates, July 1 and 3, 2026, mark the return of Guns N’ Roses to Paris, this time at the Accor Arena, as part of a world tour spanning Europe and the United States. The choice of an indoor venue, rather than the stadiums of recent tours, changes the scale but not the structure: a concert built on an established repertoire and extended duration. Guns N’ Roses formed in Los Angeles in 1985. The core lineup, centred on Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan, remains at the heart of the band. Their debut album, Appetite for Destruction, released in 1987, defined a sound combining hard rock, blues and punk attitude, marking a break from the mainstream rock of the time. In the early 1990s, with Use Your Illusion I and II, the band expanded its scope, introducing more complex songwriting and a large-scale performance dimension that became integral to their live shows. The 2026 tour continues this trajectory. Since the partial reunion in 2016, the band has maintained a steady live presence, with setlists that alternate classic tracks and later material. Concerts often extend beyond two hours and unfold as dense sequences without clear breaks. In Paris, the structure follows this approach. Songs such as Welcome to the Jungle, Sweet Child o’ Mine and November Rain remain central, while the performance is built on a progression that moves between direct impact and extended passages shaped by solos and variations. The return to the French capital comes only a few years after previous appearances, confirming a stable relationship with European audiences. The shift between arenas and stadiums does not alter the format: Guns N’ Roses concerts remain defined by duration, accumulation and recognisability. More than an event tied to new releases, the tour functions as a reactivation of a catalogue. The band continues to occupy a distinct place in rock history, between memory and ongoing presence.
