Palazzo Citterio hosts a new site-specific project by Chiara Dynys. The artist transforms the Stirling Room into an immersive, dreamlike environment dominated by a kinetic installation: three ten-meter-long rotating rollers that mimic the motion of ocean waves, crashing symbolically onto a fictional shoreline. Inspired by Nietzsche’s concept of Eternal Return, the work evokes the cyclical flow of existence, blending optical illusion with sensory engagement. Words and phrases surface like fragments from a shipwreck, forging intimate connections between art and life. The journey begins with Blue Gate, a shimmering white-silver glass door symbolizing a passage into the unknown. Mechanical sounds and shifting lights heighten the tension between reality and imagination. A circular beam of light envelops the space like a lighthouse, transforming the room into a mental landscape where viewers are invited to lose themselves among memories, symbols, and visions.
