Matteo Pugliese exhibits about 50 works that explore the relationship between sacredness and immanence. The exhibition is divided into four sections distributed throughout the museum’s various spaces, creating a dialogue with the permanent collection. The central installation reinterprets Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper, representing in sculpture the moment in which Christ announces the betrayal. The work, of the same size as the original, has previously been exhibited in Hong Kong and Lugano. Rome, in the context of the Jubilee and Easter, becomes the ideal place for this reflection on the sacred. The exhibition takes place at Palazzo Merulana, along the path of the Seven Churches between Santa Maria Maggiore and San Giovanni in Laterano. In addition to its historical and artistic value, the exhibition itinerary is part of a spiritual dimension, offering an opportunity for universal reflection through art.
