The Ishibashi Foundation Collection currently has a collection of approximately 3.000 artworks, including modern Western art from the 19th to the 20th century, modern Japanese art from the Meiji period (1868-1912) onwards, post-World War II abstract paintings, modern Japanese and East Asian art, and Greek and Roman art. These works are selected and presented to the public each year. Such as the Seated Lady (1929) by Japanese artist Yasui Sotaro, an important work that introduces the continuous transformations of Yasui's work from his time in Europe until the last year of his life.
