Elizabeth "Lee" Miller was a celebrated model in New York City in the 1920s before moving to Paris, where she became a fashion and fine art photographer. When she stepped behind the lens, Miller became a prominent figure in the avant-garde scenes of New York, Paris, London, and Cairo, and she is now considered one of the most important artistic voices of the 20th century. The exhibition presents the extraordinary career of this American artist, from her participation in French Surrealism to her fashion and war photography, with approximately 250 vintage and modern prints of her work.
