The dark and fascinating world of Peaky Blinders comes to the stage in The Redemption of Thomas Shelby, a theatrical dance production by Rambert and written by the creator of the TV series, Steven Knight. Directed and choreographed by Benoit Swan Pouffer, the show offers a powerful narrative through dance, accompanied by a live soundtrack, featuring iconic songs by artists such as Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Radiohead and Anna Calvi, as well as original music by Roman GianArthur. The story opens in the trenches of Flanders, following Tommy Shelby's return to post-war Birmingham. As he builds his criminal empire, Tommy falls in love with the mysterious Grace, unaware that she is an undercover agent. The narrative is enriched by the voice of Benjamin Zephaniah, best known for his role as Jeremiah in the TV series. Following a successful UK tour, The Redemption of Thomas Shelby will be performed at Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London from 5 to 16 August 2025. The show runs for 2 hours and 10 minutes, including one interval, and is recommended for audiences aged 15 and over, due to its mature themes and intense stage effects.
