Remo Salvadori, Germoglio

The exhibition is the most extensive solo show dedicated to one of the leading Italian contemporary artists, born in Cerreto Guidi in 1947 and active in Milan since 1972. The project unfolds like a narrative across multiple venues and moments, involving Palazzo Reale, the Museo del Novecento, and the Church of San Gottardo in Corte, part of the Museo del Duomo tour.
Starting Wednesday, July 2, several works will be installed in the Sala del Piccolo Lucernario and the Sala delle Cariatidi at Palazzo Reale. On the same day, the Museo del Novecento will present Alveare (1996-2025), a site-specific creation that will become part of the museum’s permanent collection. From July 16 to September 14, on the first floor of Palazzo Reale, the exhibition highlights Salvadori's reflection on matter, energy, water, color, and metals, through an approach that blends science, philosophy, and spirituality. The space itself becomes a protagonist, with the works engaging in a dialogue with both visitors and their surroundings. Finally, from July 19 to August 31, 10 Arrows in Mineral Colors (1969-1970) will be exhibited in the Church of San Gottardo, resonating with the sacred architecture and offering a powerful contemplative experience. On display are over 50 emblematic works, including sculptures, installations, and site-specific interventions, retracing the artist’s career and his personal bridge between Arte Povera and Transavanguardia. The exhibition is not chronological but immersive: the artist himself, together with the curators, weaves a narrative that engages the visitor’s mind, heart, and body.
