The white sand beach between the cliff and the water’s edge is inaccessible to the general public from both ground and sea, as it is protected by a coral reef. The only access is from the Resort’s inclined elevator that takes guests to and from the beach as well as to the Beach Club. The absence of man-made development is often taken as an invitation by schools of dolphins to frolic in this stretch of sea, visible to guests from the ocean view villas and from the beach.
As in most of the beaches in Bali, the heights of the tide as well as the strength of the current are prohibiting any swimming activity. The Beach Club has been conceived to provide guests with any comfort while sunbathing, to stroll by the beach, or simply to relax while enjoying lunch from La Spiaggia.
Bulgari’s private beach and beachside restaurant La Spiaggia are only accessible via the Resort’s private inclinator, which is available exclusively to in-house guests. The inclinator takes guests from the top of a dramatic cliff down to the beach below, hugging the natural trajectory of the cliff as it descends. The inclinator runs from 8 am to 6 pm each day.
