To mark its 25th anniversary, the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV) presents an immersive experience designed for families and curious minds of all ages. This multisensory journey allows visitors to explore our planet through all five senses, turning complex scientific concepts into tangible, engaging experiences. Participants can “hear” seismic waves, “see” Earth’s magnetic field, feel the vibrations of an earthquake on a shaking platform, and dive into topics ranging from geological evolution to climate change, from natural hazards to the sustainable use of natural resources. A reconstruction of the seismic and tsunami monitoring room offers a close-up view of the researchers’ daily work. This initiative is an invitation to experience science emotionally, sparking curiosity, memory, and a deeper sense of responsibility toward our planet.
